Women's Stress Management

Managing stress is not the same for men and women. Women need information that addresses their specific areas of concern, whether that be balancing family and career, eating properly, or simply learning to be more assertive.

In our travels, we lucked out in finding an absolutely wonderful book entitled, The Working Woman's Guide to Managing Stress by J. Robin Powell (1994, ISBN 0-13-969213-4).  It's packed full of real life insights, to-the-point worksheets, practical advice, and even a chapter called "Nutrition: Your First Line of Defense In The Fight Against Stress".

Because the book can be difficult to get (it looks as if it may be out of print), we have replicated some of the best worksheets from the book and posted them here on our site.  We encourage all our women visitors (and the smart male visitors as well) to try to purchase a copy of this book.  There seems to be a few used copies available through www.amazon.ca and www.amazon.com and there may possibly be copies at your local library.
